Hello LIstees,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you kind souls that
responded to my earlier post regarding my trying to dispose of all my stock
of parts and vans from my now defunct VW restoration shop, an unfortunate
event precepitated by my extremely messy divorce. I have shipped quiet a few
of the parts and pieces that fellow listees needed, but I still have quite a
bit left. For those of you that may have missed my earlier post, I have tons
of Vanagon and other VW stuff for Golf, Jetta, Passat etc., some new OEM in
VW/Audi packaging, some rebuilt, and a lot good used that I removed from my
parts cars. Please email me with your needs, as I need to empty out this
storage unit that I can ill-afford at the present time. I also have a few
camper vans available, and they are as follows:
1. 1982 Westy Diesel, white, with brown striped interior which is extremely
clean and well taken care of, good canvas, 140K on car, has 1100 miles on
completely rebuilt 1984 model year 1.6L motor, new clutch, accelerator cable
and pop-top rubber, 4 new Michelin tires, pretty straight and original
except for one small blemish behind the left rear wheel well where one of the
original tires blew and dinged it. California car, no rust. current CA tags.
Runs very tight and strong, and pretty smooth, I might add! Asking $4500.
2. 1983.5 Westy, 1.9L water-cooled, 122,000 miles, ivory, 4-speed, about a
1000 miles on overhauled engine with rebuilt heads, new rings, clutch, Bosch
re-man starter, alternator, and pop-top rubber, fairly straight and original
body, usual small dings, decent interior except driver's seat bottom has a
little rip, good canvas, everything works, also CA car, current tags and
smogged, runs extremely strong, has lots of power, asking $4,750.
3. 1985 Westy, white, 4-spd., tan velour interior, all stock, 106k miles,
just put in a new clutch and a used lo-mileage tranny because the original
one kept popping out of 4th, new brakes with OEM German pads and shoes, and
also just rebuilt the PS rack, runs strong, asking $5,500.
I also have a couple more which I'm trying to get completed ASAP, so's I can
be done with all of this and try to get on with my life, I will keep you
posted as they get ready. Once again, I thank all of you for all your extreme
warmth and support in my difficult time.
Sincerely,
Vic Ahmed
