Joel, Been using rain-x for years. Works ok as long as you don't get mass doses of salt blown all over you, and then it smears like anything else. I have a deflector on the back of my Blazer, and with the rain-x, it seems to keep the rear window pretty clean. The rear wiper & washer woks ok on the Vanagon, but after a lot of slop builds up on the sides, you can't see anywhere else except where the narrow wiper path is.
