Subject: Guidance requested: defroster lever gone limp.
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

Before, I break out the Bentley and Haynes manuals:

Yesterday, I not too gently tried to throw my defrost lever from minimum (left) to maximum (right) after hopping into the van, sweating from a bit of exertion. I felt some resistance and then the lever went "rubbery" and now sits in the center with no defrost air moving up through the vents.

I suspect that the flap was frozen in place (I'm in the NE US and we're experiencing a bit of real winter) and I forced the issue and disconnected, slipped or broke something.

Anyone else BTDT and found a solution?

Thanks,

Paolo
