Subject:      82 Rebuilt diesel Westy for sale

It is finally time to open a new chapter in my VW experience with the
purchase of my pristine 90 Westy.  I must now part with my beloved 82 diesel.
 The engine has been completely rebuilt and is running on Mobil 1 after an
initial break-in period with straight 30wt.  The transmission also has Amsoil
synthetic transmission fluid.  Clutch is new and hydraulic fluid for
brakes/clutch will be replaced.  Other new or nearly new parts include, rear
shocks, alternator (90 amp), water pump, radiator most belts and hoses.  The
cylinder head has also been rebuilt as has the injector pump.  New battery
with wiring and switch for deep-cycle.  All camping equipment in  great
working order except faucet (which I will have repaired soon).  Canvas,
screens and curtains all in great shape.  Seats are in fairly good condition
but may need repadding.  Will include factory (90) stereo -tape deck with 4
speakers.  Body has a little light surface/seam rust with 1 small fender
ding.  I plan to repair with some light body work.  Extras for additional
cost:  Rebuilt Garrett KKK turbo and Quantum TD manifold (you will have to
make 1 minor engine  mount modification-see Archives) for TD conversion.
Will also include K&N air filter (I made a really cool snorkle setup when the
engine was turbocharged!), air to air intercooler from an Eagle Talon
(Mitsubishi).  This I will sell for $1000 firm including a rebuilt injector
pump.  With the vehicle I will also include the old block and a manifold I
bought new from VW (valve broke as did camshaft), and a few extra injectors.
The Westy is light blue and has been a well-loved and faithful companion.
