Water in the temp. sensor connection. I'll almost bet on this one. I've has both my Syncro and 2WD Vanagon in the snow and creek beds, do this. Every time I thought I have finnally sealed the connection, It would show up again sooner or later. The last ditch effort I'm going to try on this one, (besides cutting off the connector off and repalcing) is to cover the entire connection with sylicone seal.
