Hi Listees,

Sorry if this bogs things down on the list...I promise I won't make a practice of it but i wanted to share this one with all of you...due to size limitations on the list, it is sent separately in my next (just a minute!) post.

The Geisterfahrer sticker that was given to me by someone who got it in Germany many many years ago (1973). It was interesting and kinda cool so he bought it and saved it all these years until he found just the right vehicle to put it on...well that vehicle turned out to be my vanagon... he took one look and said yep, this has gotta be for you...so before i put it in my back window i scanned it and thought i'd send it out to all of you. if you have a good graphics printer and buy some plain white decal sheets you can make one up for yourself.

For those of you who aren't familiar with the phrase, Geisterfahrer means 'Ghost Driver'. As it was told to me, drivers on the Audubon get

a little impatient, as the border line to Austria backs up for a good five miles at times. They pull out of the traffic, cross the median and

drive on the wrong side of the road until they near the border. Then they cut back across the grade, and onto the correct side to pass through the border. Urgent announcements are made over the radio...to Beware the Geisterfahrer (in german of course)...and well, that's how the story goes...hope you enjoy.
