I'm planning on replacing a CV joint on my 87 2wd Westy tommorow. I can't yet tell whether the outer or inner joint is bad yet, are they the same part? Also will it be obvious upon removing the axle which one is bad? I'd also appreciate any other advice any of you may have about this procedure.

Thanks in advance,
