It pops off. however, not very easily in most cases. I broke the pegs taking mine off. I ended up supergluing them back on however and that works OK. Problem is, I break them every time now and have to re superglue them. If you can remove other parts of the dash and push the pegs out as you gently pull from the front I think that will work the best.
