Of course they could. Not to mention pressure drop along every inch of the induction passage, body temperature of all properly seated passengers (better get permission for that one <g>) and a bunch of other stuff. The deal is that if you can turn it into an electrical signal you can monitor it. With the silicon sensors available today you might even be able to have instantaneous cylinder pressure. All it takes is bucks and time. I bet if you scrounged a video instrument setup out of a G-5 you'd have everything you wanted, including TITs (sorry, airplane joke which is dangerous since I'm not really an airplane guy).
