I would certainly hate to see him go. He has lots of valuable opinions, some of which I disagree with. I can live with his abrasive manner even if I don't like it, and the...er...creative spelling has unexpected dividends. I could wish he'd be a little more willing to examine his own conclusions in the light of possible further evidence....

Re spelling out rude words, I think it's good to intimate them. Of *course* we know what they mean, we're supposed to. But the circumlocution doesn't shove them in your face in quite the same way as spelling them out does. And it's always good if we watch our f**king language a bit, IMHO.
