Subject: All season tire review
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

I bought four new tires from Les Schwab a few months ago. I'm very pleased with them and thought I'd share it with the list. I think Les Schwab is only in the western states though. The tires are Wildcat LT195/75R-14. They are all season rated, with an aggressive tread design (more like an off road tire). I bought them for my '85 Westy because I travel in the Tahoe area to ski. They were one of the few tires I found in the correct size with a high enough load rating and a tread pattern that looked like a mud and snow tire. They perform well on dry pavement. The sidewall feels very stiff around corners, don't wander in the wind, and the noise level is only slightly louder than my previous tires (not loud enough to bother me). Last weekend I tested them in the snow and they did very well. Plus, they look pretty cool, if you like the rugged look. They cost $69.89 plus 10.50 for valve stems, spin and install. Also included free rotation, spin balance, brake inspection, and a good warranty. $346.55 out the door.
