Subject: Towing a Vanagon
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

When we moved from CA to NM last year my 82 diesel was to weak to keep up. I bought a towbar out of the thrifty ads and ordered a pair of towing adapters(there's a name for them but I forget) from Camping World. You only have to drill one hole that is not visible if you want to remove them...cost was about $185 or so. The advantage of towing it on all 4 was that we could use the camper for rest stops and overnights. Another possible benefit after seeing various brush and bully(no slight to GM) bars is that the offer a very secure base to fabricate your own frontal protection if you so desire. The list has been a big help to me.Just trying to give back a little.
