Just a little note on the 1,8 20V engine. This engine has 125 hp in NA mode, but it is a little lifeless. It just doesn't feel lively enough, and VW/Audi has had a bit of dissatisfied customers here. To address this, they have (once again) refurbished the 2,0 8V engine, which now has 115 hp, and this 2,0 8V is now replacing the 1,8 20V in the Passat, Bora and Golf, only the 4motion versions of those cars keeping the 1,8 20V. I have heard nothing about the 2,0 8V replacing the 1,8 20V in the Audi A4 or the VW Golf siblings Skôda Octavia and Seat Toledo.
