I'd have to agree about the CD method being easier (still have that pesky copyright issue, though).

I'll bet there are different CD-ROM's for each model or two, since graphic images tend to be pretty big, and a CD "only" holds about 600-680 MB of data. Figure a CD for the Vanagon alone would have to cover over 1700 pages of information (see clip from Bob Hufford's post below). If each of those 8 x 10 images in black and white took up about 100k (at least) then you're talking about 170 megs, right? (My math is awful, especially when it comes to moving decimal points around...)

Well what are the dealers using now? I am presuming it is on CD. Getting hold of one of these and "burning" a copy has to be the way to go. Someone on this list works for a dealer or has a good friend etc.... It just may take a little while.. I want one of the vanagon portion and will pay a fee for the service.
