It is easy!

Find a donor non-air conditioned Golf/Jetta(mid to late '80's) from the junkyard that has the 90A alternator. Get the alternator, belt and brackets. Snip the wires off the big plastic connector that you use now on the alternator, and install ring terminals on the red wires, and a female spade connector on the blue wire for the idiot light.
