I use one of two cables. A Diesel cable, which is a tight fit and then the other thing I do is get a bicycle break cable that is say 3' long and a long length of air craft cable. The air craft cable goes between the pedal asm and the throttle valve and the brake cable cover goes in the engine bay to help it slide and protect it.
