A problem does exist. This does seem to be the consensus. The only problem I have is time. It usually takes too long. Can we set up a new library system on Gerry?? Or is the only way to improve it is to upgrade the hardware? Or do we just leave it alone?

email cannot be compared to talking to someone in person. There is alot left out including body language. Maybe next generation software can improve this <shrug> <sigh> <pull my finger> <grin>.

You left out of my email the rest of the post which gave the listmember the info he needed besides searching the archives. While my response seemed blunt and to the point...What did you expect from a tired old frustrated old man <grin> From the number of pmail responses I got, we do have a problem with the archives. Do we fix it? Can we borrow from the type2 list? If I seemed ruff on Mr. Webb, I do apologize for it was not directed at him. Please note - During the past 17 years of operation, several gigabytes of
Vanagon mail messages have been archived. Searching the entire collection
will take up to five minutes to complete. Please be patient!
