Thanks to all for the help. I managed to figure it out. It was REALLY jammed in there, and I was worried about deforming something by forcing it. One trick I learned from working on BMW motorcycles - usually, if you have to force something, you are doing it wrong. Has saved me many a split knuckle over the years... :-) I did reassemble it with white lithium grease, though, as I had no MS02 handy and couldn't get to the parts store. Is this something I should worry about?
