Richard, as I remember... you have to use a punch to remove the pin that goes through the shaft that the arm rest rotates on. Once you get it off you can tighten or replace the screws that hold the bracket in place.... I think I replaced mine with lock tite. Then reverse the process... I think I used a small socket and extension to get the pin started and finished it off with a punch but to make sure it went straight into the opposite side I inserted a very small screw driver from that side such that the pin follows it as a guide. Also, I think I removed my seats first so I could work in better lighting at a better angle.
