Vasek Polak was an LA car dealer. In the fifties he handled at one point in time every car imported into the US. He was a good guy. His mechanics worked on salary and the charges were fair and not based on hurried work done to 'beat the book time'. When hot new models came along in the car lines he handled. You called him, he put your name on a list [no payment required] and when your name came up you got the car at list price, no packing, no 'mandatory options' of any kind.

He went to Germany a year or so ago and picked up a hot new Porsche. He died in a single car accident somewhere north of 160 mph. He was in his mid 80's.

A good guy.

Mike
