This Fix is SECOND HAND. I have NOT done this myself.

Take two metal pipe straps. Fasten them around the drive shaft with one
at each end near to the Universal Joints. Now tighten the clamps until
they are just snug enough to be rotated around the shaft by hand. The
idea is that when you drive the vehicle, the shaft imbalance will cause
the clamps to slip toward the outer throw of the shaft imbalance. Now if
you move the clamps 180° and tighten them on the shaft. This is supposed
to remove some of the shaft imbalance.

Fortunately, I haven't yet had to try this bizarre fix. Can anyone shed
some light on this technique?
