Dear List, When I installed my shiny new Temp 2 sensor, I noticed that there was no seal on the old one. I am assuming there is meant to be a brass washer of some sort. Can someone please confirm size, composition and perhaps even P/N? Thanks. BTW, I took her out for a spin on the highway to see if the new Temp 2 improved performance. It did not, and a little coolant began to leak from around it as soon as I got up to operating temps. I am going to wait for the seal and the new FI harness before cranking up again. If the new harness doesn't make any difference, I'll check fuel pressure and compression and then try the new fuel pressure regulator. Also, can someone point me to the intake manifold on my 1983.5 1.9? Robert Keezer tells me that if there is any fuel in there, it's a sure sign that the FPR is shot. Again, thanks, Woody |
