I just downloaded the Vanagon screensaver today. I think it's awesome!! I was quite surprised to find a picture of my own Viper red 84 "Whale" in the bunch. I have two questions. I've been to Germany and to South Africa frequently. While in South Africa, I notice the Vanagons, or Transporters, or Kombis or whatever they're called there have the sliding windows in the back windows too. Maybe I just noticed a few, maybe all of them had them. I don't know. Can you purchase the sliding windows w/frame for the back windows here in the States and if so, where? My second question: Does anyone know any reputable independent mechanics for a WC Vanagon in the northern Virginia area? My Vanagon has been in storage there for a few months and I'm flying back in two weeks to pick it up. I'd like to have what I hope is a minor problem fixed. Your feedback is appreciated.
