re: The Westy does not seem as stable in the wind ... Maybe they need more pressure. It would seem logical to me to LOWER pressure to achieve greater stability. Seems like overpressure would cause just the center of the tread to contact, and lowering it would get the whole tread width involved. We haven't had any snow here in two years and I consequently haven't mounted my Hakkapellittas in that time so my memory could be suspect, but I believe lowering pressure worked for my similar problem. My old '81 doesn't have power steering, but it felt like it did with higher air pressures. |
