Subject: Heater fan
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="Windows-1252"

Yet another cold weather problem: When the temp. falls along with the snowflakes I detect the most annoying problem My defroster fan takes vacation At low and medium speed nothing happens at all and when I put it in high, there is the noice of a screeming pig comming out from the dashboard along with as much air as of a decent fart very effective against fog !! But before I start ripping the dash apart I thought I´ll ask you guys 1 this is because of the fan and not the swich right ?? 2 is there a way of changing the bearings in the fan OR change it for some other not so vulnerable out of the wreckyard fan, since a new fan is 3000 Swedish kroner ( ´bout 400 US $ )

I know that there is Vanagons in the wreckyard but it would be a pain in the ass to go through all that work and end up with one that is just as bad and it´s hard to try it out if the problem like the one I´ve got only occurs when below zero degrees Celcius . It also seems like a common fault since the dealer said that " we normally have fans on the shelfs but right now they´re sold out "

So what to do ??

BTW, I really LOVE the screensaver
