Subject: propane leak or overfill?
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

hey ya'll yesterday i went to get my propane tanke for my 82 westy filled so i can run the stove. the tank may have been full already and propane that was in it may have been frozen(?) because as soon as the attendant put the connection on my tank it took roughly 6-10 seconds before gas came out of the overfill valve(?) (to the right of the on/off valve) indicating that it was full. well, when i got home and turned on the gas and actually began to use the stove and fridge, i went out of the van and noticed that the gas was spewing heavily from the regualtor box(?), to the left of the on/off valve, it was coming out of this knobby looking thing with a square shaped pin hole in it which appears to be some sort of a vent. when i turned off the gas, the leak stopped. when i turned it back on, it leaked again but not as heavily. thinking that maybe it was way overfilled i left the valve open (in a safe area of course) and let it leak hoping that it would subside. well after about twenty minutes it was still leaking. does this mean that the regulator, or whatever that box is, is shot or is it just way overfilled and needs to bleed for a while? if it is shot, where do i get another and how easy is it to replace? thanks in advance for the input jason 82 westy 90 gl ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
