I have an '87 Syncro an when I shut off the engine after driving I hear a high pitched noise eminating from what I have heard to be a vacuum 'canister', (sounds like pressure escaping), that is the shape of 3 balls connected together. (You usually see them mounted on the underside of older rabbit or scirocco hoods. Why is this happening? Any ideas would be a great help!

Thanks,

Mike Garske
