If the seal between the cylinder and head is leaking you will blow
combustion gasses into the coolant which will cause bubbles, hot spots,
and corrosion.  Coolant may also leak into the cylinders when parked,
and cause even more problems, including hydraulic lock that would be
very damaging upon attempting to start the engine.

If you want to keep from destroying this engine rebuild it soon, and
watch for any signs of overheating or air in the coolant expansion tank
in the mean time.

You could also consider buying one of the running used engines that
often appear on the list ($600-$1000) and start saving for the rebuild
on yours.  That way you have some control over when you spend the really
big bucks for a complete rebuild.
