There was video on the news tonight, and the Bus appeared to be a hightop model. No word on the type of heater, which is just another example of how our news is edited for time constraints. Why, I'm sure there must be almost 2000 members of Bus and Vanagon Lists who would like to see a Charles Kuralt-type special on this episode.

Here's wishing all Listees north of FL that they can retire their snow shovels soon.

BTW, when roads get full of snow and ice, the correct way to drive is NOT to just push any pedal as hard as you can and grip the wheel until your vehicle stops by sliding into something. (Some other news footage showed a garbage truck and a fire engine each sliding 180-360 degrees on the ice.) How would you feel seeing one of those aiming at you in your rear view mirror?
