Ken & Karl,

AMEN! I took my '86 Syncro to the VW dealer because my Exchange engine crankshaft oil seal was leaking. I got a double whammy of second class citizenship because it was a Vanagon and it was under a parts warranty. They made me return twice, charged me a (non-warranty)hour's labor to look at the seal area and took 3 hours to do it. Then I had to return and leave it all day. When I got it back heat shields were loose, bolts were not re-installed and an a/c comp. adjuster was broken. I wrote the management and never received a reply. VW spends a fortune on advertising and promoting product loyalty and they are wasting their money on me.

Regards, John
