I've always had excellent luck with the Pioneer cassette head CD changer units. I've installed 3 so far: my first (7200) was in my '85 vanagon where I put the changer under the driver's seat and there is already a hole under the lower right front area when you pull down the carpet to bring the cable forward and run it under the carpet and then up by the gas pedal. After that was sold in the spring of "94 for my current '90 Westy I puchased the Pioneer 8200 and mounted the changed under the shelf in the cabinet under the sink. I still ran the cable forward and under the driver's seat and out through the same hole up under the carpet. The 8200 also has the luxury of a remote control so that when you are camping and going to bed you can play music and then shut it off from bed. The tuners are nice because they are preprogramed with all the stations in the country and as you travel you can update your location and scan your preferences in. Last year I sold my wife's '88 syncro Quantum wagon and bought her an'88 wolfsburg vanagon and again put in the latest cassette head/ CD changer Pioneer unit w/remote the KEH-P8600 again with the changer mounted under the driver's seat. great units and have never failed. I also pt one of the 7200's in my 914 with the changer mounted in the front trunk.
