Hi Volks, I have screw up hydraulic lifter adjustments on many different cars. This seems to work for me. The key to adjusting hydraulic lifters to be certain they are fully extended. Often new lifters out of the box even if you pre pump them will collapse a bit with just a slight amount of pressure. So be positive the push rod is loose even to the slight spring pressure from an unpumped lifter. Then give it a turn or 2 or give it 0.006 inch clearance if the bentley method is causing an anomaly. I cannot stress enough to be certain the lifter is full extended (push rod loose, then just touches) as a starting point. Notice where all the adjusters are after you are finished. They are all usually in the same general area on the adjustment screws.
