I've spotted a SANDEN 508 A/C compressor in a local salvage yard, on an
85 Vanagon GL. The compressor on my 86 is making bad sounds. No such
markings are on it, howver.

Does anyone know whether these are interchangable?

If you respond, please copy me off the list. I am not currently
