*Carefully* check the electrical connectors starting at the senders
themselves; disconnect the connectors in the engine bay & make sure the
individual pins/sockets are seated in the plastic holders (I had one not
fully seated, & it's mate would push it back so that the electrons only
flowed intermittantly).
