All are manuals with R(everse), L(ow), 1, 2, 3, 4

My Double Cab is a Syncro with a gasoline - I don't think Canada ever got a Diesel Syncro Double Cab - quite a rare beast in Europe too!

The Double Cabs were never sold new in the USA - I can locate one for you if you are interested.

Yes, it is quite possible. There are several ways of doing it. Complicated and not so complicated!

Double Cabs are great for engine swaps - their deck lid is several inches taller than a Vanagon allowing you to stuff something BIG in there!
