Well my fellow listee's, could use your experience again,

Since I now own "Oscar" 1984 Westy camper and "thought" I had it all together for his trip home. You know, because I called in advance BEFORE I bought it. Got this number from one of the past posts and called the guy below. He kinda cut me off, told me to wait and call him back when I was ready to ship. (told him where I lived, Iowa etc.) He gave me a really good estimate and I felt confident that I had everything ready to go. Actually it turned out better than the price below.

> Syncro Westy from Boulder CO to Salt Lake City UT, not too far. Is > running me $350. I didn't attempt to bargain and I probably could > have... they didn't sound too attached to that price. On the other > hand, I want them to feel good and take good care of the beast ;) > The company is Randy's Road One........

So I call him back and he now says he doesn't go to Florida. (OK I can't remember if I told him Florida or not because he cut me off) I suppose I can wait till the 1st of March when a friend of mine wants to go down by Daytona anyway for a little R&R and bring him back then. But, my oh my, I don't want to wait that long. So I call around to about 30 different places and am I getting wild prices. North Shore out of Illinois, so far is at $545 (which is still way higher than my first quote) and other companies have topped out at $1200.00. Jeez, what's up with these people? Anybody leaving Florida for the midwest any time soon? Or any other suggestions as to Auto transporters with better prices? 3 years ago. when we were moving back home to Iowa, I had a quote to ship 2 cars from LA to Iowa for $740.00 (wish I could fined their number now!)

Thanks again,

Katy Abbas Legacy Farm NE Iowa
