Subject: Rusty propane tank.& 82 engine & tranny FS

I just took the propane tank off my 82 Parts Westy. It was rather rusty so I drained all the propane out. Before I proceed much more with putting this tank on my 87 Syncro I thought I'd check out some thing...The certification plate was so badly rusted it was completely unreadable. Is there a way I can this tank recertifed. It was holding propane fine and the only bad rust was, of course under the plate.

Thanks.

Rob

PS I have a running air-cooled out of the 82 westy for sale. It runs but has low compression.

I'd also like to sell the transmission out of it too. The tranny works great!

All reasonable offers seriously considered.

Oh yeah they're in Montana if ya wanna check em out!
