Hey Blake,

Look over your policy and see if there is a rental car reimbursement
endorsement on it. If not, you need to get the other party's insurance to
cover that cost since it sounds like it was their fault. I don't know what
the laws are in Utah, but it should be similar to California. In California,
the party at fault has to provide you comparable transportation while your
claim is not settled or while your vehicle is being repaired. The coverage
ceases once they make you a settlement offer, regardless of whether you
accept it or not. Their first offer is not usually the best that they can do.
The adjusters laugh at most people who accept at the first attempt. Are you
injured? That always makes them very nervous.
