In my report on servicing my fridge I forgot to mention one thing. I found the exhaust pipe cracked, where it bends to go through the van's wall, when I removed the fridge. So how to repair that crack was the question. I was about to pull out the mig welder but kept thinking it would probably just melt a bigger hole. Then thought about muffler cement, but the crack was way too wide, soooooo I came up with this plan. Since the crack was in-between one of the pleats of the accordion style pipe I took a piece of coat hanger wire and cut and bent it to fit in the groove all the way round so it was nice and tight. That filled in the crack just dandy. Then I applied the muffler cement and lit up the fridge to harden the cement. Seems to have worked just perfect ......so far. Guess we'll see how long that repair holds up.
