try emailing the archives. it has been a while since i have done it, but it is somethin glike this: mail listserv@gerry.vanagon.com subject doesn't matter body: search thermostat in vanagon end

there, that is it. i searched for 'thermostat' then end is so your signiture doesn't jack up stuff. this way is a bit slower than the web way, but is better if you are trying to get work done while searching or ain't allowed to use Netscape/ie/etc while at work...
