Hello everyone, I have a 88 westy that I got only a few months ago. The previous owner had just had the rear shocks replaced with a set of Monroe's (Gas). Anyway, I posted a few weeks back wondering how much interior noise is normal since I was getting a lot of it when the rear wheels would go over a bump. I recieved a response from a person (thanks) who nailed it right on the head and suggested that one of my shocks may be loose at the mount. I took the top bolt out and inspected it (a little wear on one side) and replaced it. The noise definitely went away (a lot less interior noise) for a bit but then came back when I drove a dirt rode. Is there a 'special' shock bolt that should be used whith these vans? The bolt used looks like the original but I am not certain the garage improvised. Anyone ever heard of this? Thank you so much for any suggestions ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com |
