Katy, heat up the barn, move in your cot. A cam bearing change is no small task.

You must pull the engine, and split the case to make the change. To go that far with an engine, you might as well prepare to go the route and do a complete overhaul, ie new bearings for the crank, rods, new rings(maybe pistons and cylinders as well) valve job.
