My tires are Michelien XC4S's.These tires normal max pressure is 52 psi. I run 50 psi all around. Lowering the pressure 5 pounds or so doesn't hurt. But, much less than that and only the outer edges of the tire hit, actually raising the center off the road. A tire will actually bow convex to the roads surface. Check out your manual or your bently, they usually give good diagrams that illustrate the point. If the pressure indicated were 58-60 psi (maybe even as high as 65 psi) I would agree with your statement. Later,
