Subject: '82 sliding door jammed!

Folks:

Just got a call from Christa, and apparently the sliding door on our 1982 westy has jammed itself preventing it from opening again.

She says there is some light visible through a gap at the rear of the door, when viewed from the inside. The door is stuck in the "closed' position. She's tried pushing the rear of the door out hard from inside the bus, to no avail.

I had noticed the other day that the whole door sits about 1/4" lower than it should--doesn't match up to the body panels in front or back, but the "sag" appears to be level (same "sag" on both front and rear ends of door).

I'm gonna have a look at it tonight. Anybody run into this or anything similar before? Tips on what to look for, or tricks on fixing/adjusting things? I tried the archives but *very* slow response and numerous "CGI Timeout" error messages instead of search results.

Any help would be most welcome. Thanks!
