              Viscous Coupling

I saw this item for sale at eBay, and thought that you might be interested.

Title of item: Vanagon Syncro Viscous Coupling Seller: drew@interport.net Starts: Feb-09-00 18:40:09 PST Ends: Feb-16-00 18:40:09 PST Price: Starts at $638.00 To bid on the item, go to: http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=257467990

Item Description: The viscous coupling in the Vanagon Syncro wears out after about 100,000 to 150,000 miles. When it goes, it comes on too early, and you get binding in tight turns after highway driving. This will destroy your hugely expensive transmission. Your only option right now is to get a new one at the dealer for $2,000 or more. This auction is for a brand new direct from the manufacturer.
