Coyote, I've been off the list for quite a while now but miss everyone and wanted to give you guys an update on the 82 westy diesel I converted to a 1.9l TD. After putting about 18k miles on it, it just gets stronger and better. Mileage also improved from an original of 22.5mpg to a current 25 mpg. It originally used about a qt of oil every 1k miles. Now the rings have seated and uses none. An interesting point however, I bought a 2000 Golf TDI and VW won't let you change the break in oil for at least 5k miles. Perhaps I shouldn't have changed the oil so frequently when I was breaking in the Westy... In any event, Hello to all and if anyone wants to get ahold of me, I can be reached at: bajatrvlr@aol.com. I think I bunged up the return address on this server to bypass spam. Thanks,

Bob Bellanca
