Subject: Re: '80 vanagon camper for $5000 - is it worth it?

That doesn't sound like that outrageous of a price around here. I paid $5000 for my 84' w/ 98,000 not a camper just a wolfsburg. I know I paid a little too much but it was the only one I could find in the area and I wanted another one pretty bad. What area do you live in? I live in Menasha which is near Appleton and there is a place here that usually has at least one camper for sale. About a month or two ago they had a nice 82' diesel camper in really good condition with about 77,000 on it and they were asking about $5,000. I wish I had mine paid off cause I would of traded it in and got that one. In Wisconsin you might want to look at a water cooled cause from people say about the air cooled heat it might not get very warm at all. I know my 84' usually doesn't get nice and warm unless I am on the highway. I hope this helps. If you want to e-mail me I could let you know if I see one around at all. Tim Vogelin
