Subject: How to check alternator output?
In-Reply-To: <001801bf74d3$cd0d8500$3e590440@Pangea.ca>

Quick question:

What's the easiest way to check the actual amperage output of my alternator? My charging system warning light is coming on, so I'd like to check the output with a multimeter to see if it's putting out what it should. This is for an 82 diesel with a 65A alternator.

Thanks!

T.
