re: My tires are Michelien XC4S's.These tires normal max pressure is 52 psi I run 50 psi all around.

Folks should not confuse the "max pressure" number on the sidewalls of their tires with the pressure they should actually run. The number on the sidewall is a "never exceed" number and would normally only be used when the corresponding weight figure is achieved. Assuming you have one of the recommended tires, the sticker in the door jamb provides probably the best recommendation for tire pressure. At least on my old '81, the front and rear pressure recommendations are never the same--the front is lower. Overinflating front tires is the way to lighten steering and likely will result in perceived extra crosswind sensitivity. If you run one of the "unapproved" tires, the max pressure number is still not the number to use.
