Tell them Doktor Tim sent you.
They are experienced with the VE pumps and can supply parts and rebuilding
services. If that pump has more than 100,000 miles use, I would consider
getting it rebuilt. Fuel pressure in these pumps will drop slowly over the
life of the pump and typically by the time a seal begins to leak, the pump
has a lot of age and wear. Typically, if the motor is worn and needs
rebuilding, the pump is ready for rebuilding as well.
I doubt very much if diesel oil will create a problem with the glow plugs.
Update the glow plug system with the fast glow kit if one or more of the
glow plugs tests weak. Of course, I haven't got a clue as to whether you
have independant Bosch Auto Parts suppliers in Korea. If you can't find
local supply, I could ship to you, but it will cost considerable for
international money orders and shipping.
Have you tried ordering the Bosch info from their site??? Consider also, if
you are anywhere near The Line, buddy up to some of the US troops, who
might be very helpfull in getting shipments from the states. Not all but
most Americans just love to solve problems. We couldn't think of a good
reason to live if we didn't have problems to solve. Solving our own
problems is of necessity but helping others to solve their problems is how
we EARN our living. That's why were over there. Just a thought.
